Leadership

what we believe

That there should be a plurality of elders in Churches.  God has gifted Believers’ Chapel with Three elders.

That the elders are to shepherd the Church, which includes watching over them and building them up through teaching the Bible for the Church’s benefit and the glory of God.

That the elder’s authority is limited to what is taught in the Bible.  The qualifications and gifting are given to us in the Bible, including that elders are to be men only.

That governing the Church is accomplished by Jesus Christ through the elders, who are called to lead in a gentle manner, according to the Bible, so that the whole Church can be in agreement in all her ministries.

Michael Dickmann

Our Lord Jesus Christ saved me in 1971 during the days of the "jesus people" revival. he used the witness of my dear wife Karen of 58 years, my sister, and a faithful presbyterian pastor to bring me to himself. I have pastored believers' chapel for 15 years. it has been a wonderful time. we have experienced GOD together and look forward to what he has for us in the future.

David Dickmann

I was born in March 1970 to Michael and Karen Dickmann and grew up attending church, conferences, and family devotions, where I heard the gospel. Aware of my sin and the reality of hell, I sought purpose and contentment. My parents' faith and patience were an inspiration to me.

In 1996, I married Cheryl, but it wasn't until April 1998 that I experienced true repentance and faith, understanding that Christ died for me personally. Influential figures in my conversion included my parents, Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Conrad Murrell, and the Bible Baptist Church in Maplewood, Missouri.

I remain happily married to Cheryl, and together we have four children: Hannah, Benjamin, Grace, and Conrad. I grew up in Dutchtown and later Antonia, Missouri, and now reside in Hillsboro, Missouri.

I was recognized as an elder by the Christians meeting together in the spring of 2016.  The Lord Jesus has continued to give me good things that His people need to hear and has given me a love for those people.

TIMOTHY DICKMANN

I grew up in Jefferson County. I was raised in a Christian home, and the Lord saved me when I was 13 years old. I have been married to my lovely wife, Amanda, for 24 years. The Lord has blessed us with five children: Caleb (23), Michael (21), Elizabeth (19), Joshua (16), and Benjamin (13). The Lord has also blessed me with two wonderful daughters-in-law, Michaiah and Emma.

I have been teaching and preaching God’s Word on and off for the past 15 years. I currently live in Festus and support my family as a carpenter as I minister to the church.
